The best VR porn player is the one your headset can run and your site supports. Taste comes third, because a player that can't log in to your site leaves you copying files by hand.
Most sites build around one or two apps. VR Bangers sends you to PLAY'A, Czech VR to HereSphere or DeoVR, SexLikeReal to DeoVR. So we mapped both sides: where each player runs and costs what, and which of the sites we review name it on their own help pages.
Which VR porn player for which headset
Quest has the widest choice, PS VR2 has one native app, and a phone has PLAY'A and little else.
| Headset | Players with a build for it | No build found | What the sites point to |

| Android phone, iPhone | PLAY'A | DeoVR, HereSphere, SKYBOX, Moon VR, 4XVR, Whirligig | Mostly third-party Cardboard players, see the phone section |
Headset-by-headset setup lives on our guides for Quest 3, Pico 4, Apple Vision Pro and PS VR2.

Dates of the prices in the table:
- Steam: 5 November 2026, except Moon VR (30 September 2026).
- Quest, Pico and phones: 30 September 2026.
- Vision Pro: 27 September 2026.
- Rad TV: 17 October 2026.
On Steam, DeoVR now appears as "DeoVR Classic - VR Video Player"; our September pass saw a different store title, so we use the newer one.
HereSphere: the paid player paysites hand off to
HereSphere$29.99, free demoHereSphere costs $29.99 on Steam and on Quest, with a free demo on each. It runs on a Windows PC and Quest headsets, nothing else.
The developer's own list reads "Windows PC, Meta Quest, Quest 2, and Quest Pro". There's no Pico build, no Vision Pro build and no phone app. On Steam it has been in Early Access since 26 February 2021.
HereSphere streams from paysites, which no other paid player on this page does. It logs in to "websites that implement the DeoVR API" or other supported web APIs, and it can also stream straight from a download link.
Sites that work with HereSphere
Five of the sites we checked name HereSphere on their help pages, and two more mention it in our reviews.
- Czech VR: open czechvrnetwork.com/heresphere in HereSphere's built-in browser, on Quest or on a PC headset.
- Fuck Pass VR: a one-click "Watch in Headset" link opens scenes in DeoVR or HereSphere, and its FAQ recommends HereSphere for downloads.
- Fap House VR: "FapHouse is now available in the HereSphere app."
- SexBabesVR: one-tap links into DeoVR and HereSphere, plus a PC route with HereSphere for PS VR2 owners.
- BaDoink VR: recommends HereSphere for streaming on Quest, next to Prism VR Player.
- Naughty America VR sells HereSphere access in its Gold panel, and VRSpy's FAQ walks through syncing The Handy in HereSphere.
If your site isn't on that list, HereSphere still plays its downloads, but you pay $29.99 for streaming you can't use. Try the demo first.
On PS VR2, HereSphere runs only through Sony's PC adapter and SteamVR. The developer doesn't name the headset; SexBabesVR does.
SKYBOX VR porn: the local-file player
SKYBOX VR Video Player$9.99SKYBOX plays files you already have. It costs $9.99 on Quest, Steam and Vision Pro, and it doesn't log in to any paysite.
Its Meta store page calls it "an ultimate local VR media player". Videos come from the headset's storage, a DLNA or SMB share on your Wi-Fi, or the free SKYBOX client on your PC. The Vision Pro build adds fisheye 200 and 220 degree formats and AV1 files.
The usual SKYBOX route for VR porn is download first, play second. Fuck Pass VR's Quest steps put it plainly: open "a VR media player like Skybox VR, navigate to the 'Videos' folder, and play your video."
Sites that name SKYBOX
Twelve sites in our checks name SKYBOX somewhere:
- Grooby VR and TransVR call it "our preferred player" for the Vive.
- Virtual Real Porn recommends it for the MV-HEVC files it makes for Vision Pro.
- VRPorn.com's Index guide offers PLAY'A (free) or SKYBOX (paid).
- Fuck Pass VR has a scene button that opens SKYBOX.
- Also named by BaDoink VR, POVR, SexBabesVR, Virtual Taboo, VR Allure, VR Latina and Wank It Now VR.
Off Quest, Steam and Vision Pro, SKYBOX gets thin. Its download page lists no Pico build, and only POVR claims it works on Pico "in some regions". There's no current phone app, only an old Daydream APK. On a PS5, SKYBOX staff wrote in June 2023 that PS VR2 was "not yet open to non-gaming developers".
PLAY'A: free, and the only one with a phone app
PLAY'A VR Video PlayerFreePLAY'A is free on every store we checked and the only player here with a current phone build, on Android and iPhone.
It has builds for Quest, Pico 4 and 4 Ultra, Steam, Vision Pro, Android (as "PLAY'A VR Cardboard") and iPhone. Its FAQ says it is "completely free, with no subscriptions or hidden fees".
The flow is short: "Add New Website", type the address, log in on that site's own page. The FAQ warns that "not all websites are fully supported". Full support needs the site to use PLAY'A's API; others open in a plain web view.
Sites that work with PLAY'A
Eleven sites in our checks recommend PLAY'A as a way to watch:
- The VR Bangers network: VR Bangers, VR Conk, Blow VR, VRB Gay and VRB Trans. VR Bangers calls it "VR Bangers' own VR porn app".
- VRPorn.com, which promotes it on its own app page.
- Dezyred, whose interactive games run only inside PLAY'A.
- RealJamVR and PornCornVR, for downloads on a PC headset.
- POVR and Virtual Real Porn, as one option among several.
On VR Bangers, downloads go through PLAY'A only, ten a day in our record. On Vision Pro the app is rated 2.0 from 56 ratings, and the developer says anything above 4K depends on the site using its API.
Steam lists the developer as In Reality, Inc and the App Store as Swearl, LLC.
DeoVR: free, and the default at SexLikeReal
DeoVRFreeDeoVR is free on Quest, Steam and Vision Pro, sits in the PICO store, and streams from any site built on its API.
Seventeen sites in our checks name it, more than any other player. SexLikeReal's help center recommends "the DeoVR or DeoVR Classic app" on Quest, Pico and Vision Pro, and VR Latina's scene pages all hand off to it. On Vision Pro it's free with a $14.99 monthly premium in-app. There has been no phone viewer since its Cardboard app left Google Play in 2021.
The Steam version isn't loved. On 5 November its recent reviews read "Very Negative", and the all-time score was "Mixed" at 59%. Which sites stream to DeoVR, one by one, is on our DeoVR porn sites page.
Other VR video players worth knowing
None of these logs in to a paysite. Each fits one headset or one habit, and the sites name them far less often.
MOON VR Player
MOON VR Player$9.99, $8.99 on Vision Pro$9.99 on Quest and Steam, $8.99 on Vision Pro as Moon Player, and in the PICO store. It plays from SMB, DLNA, WebDAV and USB, and from a PC or NAS through its MoonLink app. The PICO listing claims "UHD, 4K, 8K and 12K playback". BaDoink VR names it as its recommended Vision Pro app for downloaded files.
4XVR
Free on Quest with a $29.99 Premium add-on, also on Pico and Vision Pro. No PC build: Steam returned no listing on 5 November. It reads local files, network shares, Plex, Emby, Jellyfin and cloud drives. Its PICO page calls it "the only VR video player that supports MVC 3D decoding". No site in our checks names it.
Whirligig
Whirligig$5.99$5.99 on Steam and on Quest. The developer lists Pico 4 standalone too, without a store link. Seven sites name it: Naughty America VR, Stockings VR, VirtualPee, Grooby VR, TransVR, POVR and Wank It Now VR. Several of their pages still describe the old download from the web.
Simple VR Video Player
$7.99 on Steam, local files only. Its store page says it was "designed specifically for the HTC Vive". Matures VR, Wank It Now VR, Zexy VR and POVR name it for the Vive.
Virtual Desktop
Virtual Desktop$24.99 Classic on SteamVirtual Desktop Classic, $24.99 on Steam, shows your PC desktop inside a tethered headset. Naughty America VR, Grooby VR, TransVR, POVR and Fuck Pass VR name it. A separate standalone app streams a PC to Quest, Pico and Vive standalones; we didn't record its price.
Viveport Video and VIVE Video
HTC's free player for local 2D, 3D, 180 and 360 files, on Steam as Viveport Video. BaDoink VR puts it first in its Index guide. On a Focus Vision you can add streaming links to its playlist.
Reality Player
Reality Player$8.99A Vision Pro app at $8.99. It reads local files, DLNA, SMB, iCloud and other cloud drives, custom URLs and HLS streams, "with up to 8K support". BaDoink VR names it as its second choice on Vision Pro.
Rad TV
The only native PS VR2 video app in our checks, and you'll find it only in the store on the console.
- Playing your own files from USB, DLNA or RSS needs Premium at $6.99 a month or Premium+ at $29.99.
- Czech VR feeds members its catalog by RSS. POVR and VRPorn.com use a USB stick with a "Littlstar" folder.
- Rad's encoding sheet allows up to 8192 x 4352 at 50 Mbps, with no Matroska files.
Bigscreen Beta and Steam Link
Bigscreen Beta is free on Steam and plays local video, but no site we checked names it. Steam Link is Valve's free streamer: it runs Steam players on a Quest, a Pico 4, 4 Ultra or Neo 3, a Focus Vision or an XR Elite.
Safari on Vision Pro
Safari plays WebXR streams with no app at all. VRPorn.com and POVR state 4K as the ceiling there, and several sites still tell you to switch on feature flags first.
Apps run by the sites themselves
A few sites push their own app instead of a general player. Most turn out to be one of the players above.
- StartVR: the Wankz VR, Milf VR and Brasil VR help center says it "was created by our team". startvr.io offers Quest, Pico and SteamVR builds.
- Prism VR Player: BaDoink VR's "recommended streaming option" on Quest, from Meta App Lab. BaDoink doesn't say it owns it.
- SLR app: every install step on SexLikeReal's app page is DeoVR. Its help center lists PCVR and PS VR2 as not supported.
- POVR app: the Download button on POVR's app page leads to its join page. We found no POVR app on the Meta store or in web searches.
VR porn player for iPhone and Android
PLAY'A is the only player in our checks with a current phone build. None of the other six in our phone check has one.
The sites mostly name small third-party Cardboard players instead, such as FreeVRPlayer, Mobile VR Station and Fr33VRPlayer, which we didn't check. Two limits apply whatever you install. Google no longer sells Cardboard viewers, and iPhone Safari has no WebXR, so browser streaming in VR mode is out on an iPhone. First-time setup on any device is in how to watch VR porn.
Where the sites' player advice is out of date
Several help pages describe players as they were years ago. Check these before you pay for an app.
FAQ
What is the best VR porn player?
The one your site supports. PLAY'A is free and runs on the most devices, phones included. HereSphere is the paid pick if your site streams to it, and SKYBOX suits a library of downloaded files.
Is HereSphere free?
No. It costs $29.99 on Steam and on the Meta store, and both have a free demo.
Does HereSphere work on Pico or Apple Vision Pro?
No. The developer lists only Windows PC and Quest headsets, and there's no Pico or visionOS build.
Can SKYBOX stream from VR porn sites?
No. SKYBOX plays downloads, files on a DLNA or SMB share, and video sent from its PC client. For streaming with a site login, use PLAY'A, DeoVR or HereSphere.
Which VR porn player works on PS VR2?
Rad TV on the PS5, or Steam players on a PC through Sony's adapter. Czech VR, POVR and VRPorn.com give Rad steps; SexBabesVR and VRPorn.com give PC steps.
Is there a VR porn player for iPhone or Android?
Yes, PLAY'A, free on both. It was the only one of the players we checked with a phone build.
